Radiothon
Children's Hospital Radiothon Kicks Off October 14, 2009!Children's Hospital Radiothon will be kicking off on October 14, 15, and 16. Greenville Hospital System and Entercom Upstate will partner to broadcast on all 5 of their stations live from the Greenville Memorial Lobby. Tune in to New Rock 93.3, B93.7, Magic 98.9, Rock 101, and WORD 106.3 to hear on-air personalities from these radio stations interview the community—including children, families and GHS employees about their experiences with Children's Hospital. Children's Hospital serves all of the Upstate, western North Carolina and eastern Georgia. Children's Hospital sees over 125,000 visits each year and treats children with broken bones, cystic fibrosis, autism, brain injuries, and pediatric cancer to name a few. All of the proceeds go directly to Children's Hospital. 100% stays local! Each year, funds from Radiothon support the many programs and services of Children's Hospital. Funds raised this year will specifically help support the Child Life program, which uses play, education, and self-expression to help children and their families cope with medical treatments and reduce stress. Radiothon funds also help support Camp Courage which allows children with pediatric cancer or blood disorders to have a normal camp experience. Come and join us! Tune in and help out. Contact Gina Lewis at (864)454-8319 for more information or to volunteer! Give of your time, talent, and treasure to benefit Children's Hospital of Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center(GHS). During the Radiothon we share some of the amazing stories from grateful
patients and their families who have benefited from the care at Children’s
Hospital. For more information about our comprehensive services within the Children’s
Hospital visit www.ghs.org/childrens.
